Becoming a Church Member
Membership is a sign of belonging and commitment.
By seeking membership you are saying that you want to be committed to and actively involved at IBCP, which is a local expression of the global Body of Christ.
• Members should have been baptised following profession of faith in Jesus Christ.
• Membership can be transferred from another Baptist church or church of like faith.
• Those who are in membership with churches in their home countries can become “Associate Members” and participate in and benefit from belonging to the church family here.
All members are expected to live godly, fruitful and Christ-honouring lives, and to be faithful :

in attending worship,
in prayer,
in fellowship,
in using their God-given resources of gifts, time and money,
in seeking to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Bible Reading Plan for 2007

The IBCP church motto for 2008 will be:
"And [our] God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus"

Philippians 4:19
To make this effective, I would like to encourage you to read the Bible daily and attempt to read the whole Bible in the next year.
This is possible by reading 4 chapters a day according to the plan developed by a Scottish minister, Robert Murray McCheyne (1813-1843).
His plan will take you through the New Testament and Psalms twice, and the Old Testament once, in a year.
If you feel that’s too ambitious, plan B is to read the whole Bible in 2 years by reading 2 chapters a day.
This will take you through the New Testament and Psalms once in the year and half the Old Testament.
The first two months of the plan are provided with the Bulletin.
Look out for further instalments through out the year!
You can find the whole plan by clicking here.
I can also email this to you.
