How to Become a Christian
Realize that God loves you and has a plan for your life.
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Recognize that you are a sinner and that your sins separate you from God.
“Everyone has sinned and is far away from God’s saving presence.” Romans 3:23
Believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross to pay for your sin and open the way for you to know God personally.
“This is what love is: it is not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the means by which we are forgiven.” 1 John 4:10
Commit your life to Jesus Christ, putting your faith in Him as your Saviour and seeking to follow Him as your Lord.
“If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
Christ’s invitation:
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and then open the door, I will come in to him …” Revelation 3:20
We can respond to Christ’s invitation and open the door of our hearts to Him by praying this prayer:
Dear Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and in need of forgiveness.
I believe that you died for my sins and rose again.
I want to turn from my sins and invite you into my heart and life as my Lord and Savior.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen
